Note: The application is designed for Windows and Mac systems. However, as all notepad programs the application only runs on Windows systems.

1. SourceNote is designed as a standalone application. It does not require other software to run.
2. The installer allows you to choose the location you want to browse. Choose the location where your files are stored or choose the location where you want the notes to be saved.
3. The application can be used as a portable app with a custom shortcut on the desktop and also as a full-screen window application.
4. If you use the full-screen option, it will open in your desktop space and you can minimize it.
5. SourceNote is a 64-bit application. The installer checks for and updates if required the file system to support 64-bit file operations.
6. The application allows you to save notes to text files, with the extension.txt

Note: When saving the notes as a.txt file, the application will automatically replace spaces with commas (ex : Mr. John Smith to Mr. John Smith). If you want to avoid this replacement, then you need to change the extension of your notes file to be.txt_original (ex : Mr. John Smith to Mr. John Smith.txt_original).

Ive been using Notepad++ for a while now. This was a godsend when I started using the IDE and Ive found nothing as nice as this for other Notepad++ related issues. Its fast and easy to use, plus the Edit menu is perfect for a beginner. It doesnt come with default macros that youd expect with a more advanced editor, but you can make your own. There are a few keyboard shortcuts that can be confusing at first, but I found them with time and practice.

One big problem I do have with it is that it doesnt always save properly when closing files. Ive seen it close saved files before I save them.

I was prompted to purchase this as I love to use Notepad++ for source editing. Its easy to use, works for any language and saves a lot of time for coding and is very user-friendly. The problem is that it saves source file on the desktop by default. When you open a new file or want to open a file which is already open, you need to manually change the directory.

I installed notepad++ on several machines and was always bothered by the fact that it always saved files to the desktop when saving a file. I found the solution to this problem in a thread on the notepad++ forum. Just go to the directory and choose another location from the menu. This works
