I’ve been using CuteFile, which is a decent file manager. The interface is simple and basic, but it worked very well on my Windows 7 laptop. However, I’m now going to test Filer by Doug and see how it runs on my Windows 8 laptop.

I’ve been using the default file manager in Windows 8 since its original release, which is named Windows File Explorer (WFE). I like it, but I’d like to try something new, so I’m looking for a replacement. I’d like to use something more sleek, and I liked HowToGeek’s recommendation of Filer, which sounds like what I want.

I downloaded and installed it, and it was pretty easy to install. It still comes with Windows 8’s default tools, so I didn’t have to install additional tools or anything.
