This is a really great contribution. I cannot get the same behavior on my Galaxy S II (Android 2.3.6). On my phone the input dialog does not show up. Only if I tap the screen the dialog shows up. Is there a different implementation in Android 2.3.6? I hope there is.

You also need to prepare the working environment of your computer.
Download Samsung Windows Mobile SDK files.
If you don’t have a copy of Visual Studio 2008 installed on your computer, you need to install it first.
Install these files in the directory of your choosing, and you’re good to go!
Open Visual Studio 2008 or Visual C++ Express Edition and under Add New Project click the horizontal arrow beside Visual C++ and select Windows Mobile 4.0 Professional, and name the project for example « SDK Application ». Click OK.
On the Main page of the New project window, you should see an empty project template.
Right click on it and select Add -> New Item… and add a new project as a Windows Phone project. We will create a new Windows Phone Class Library.
Double click on the new solution and select the « Class Library » template.
Give it a name such as « WindowsPhoneApplication1 », and select OK.
Switch to the properties of the new project and set the « Target Framework » to « WindowsMobile 5.0 » and the « Platfrom » to « Windows ».
The output is the type of project: Class Library.
When you run the application on your phone, you should see a Windows Phone Developer’s Kit running in the emulator.
