There are no fair reasons to show the ending credits with all the information before the song appears, which usually ends the music credits on each base game anyway. The whole music part could have been separated to the own scrolling video, just leave the song’s ending to appear in the last but one screen. Those two annoying lines then become useful to actually show the scroller’s ending. Or maybe the decision is just really odd that the opening credits are shown with the ending credits.
And since it’s a game produced by the famous Image Epoch, I give you the title’s ending song embedded in the lyrics:
The cutting scene
Now that I think about it, I honestly believe that there were no cuts after the decisive victory and a certain ending was planned from the beginning. I could be wrong, I dunno. During the production I could also recall that this scene was planned as a cut scene, and there are some cut part(s) in the game, probably the boss fights. I mean, the previews and some insider’s videos confirm this (red tag on the second battle). It was cut in the final version though. In short: the change is pretty weird.
So I wanted to hear through the grapevine what kind of video game the trio was playing or was going to play and I got lucky! I was informed that these three were playing a ‘Mabinogi’-like game. Were they game-testing it or late-stage development? After a while I got to know that the game in question was the remake of [ROCK], hence the game’s title ROCK with three ‘bons’.
It was then revealed that they were organized as a band, and even a rock band. The way they hang out, they’re more like a college band or club, rather than a band at an open-air stadium. In fact, they weren’t a band before. In a way, they’re going to play a game together.
