The film keeps Pain & Gain divergent and plot-free, as it follows as a dreamy pastiche of low-level street figures. Frank (Wilson) lives in a homeless shelter on the outskirts of the city. He is that deep in the Bronx one mid-day he wanders up to Bushwick. He is a righteous criminal in prison, and makes a mistake. He then meets Vin (Stanton), who is performing treatment of wounded people in a convalescent home. They begin to work with day labourers. Before long, Bobby (Wahlberg) notices the positive influence of Frank and Vin on his business; he becomes a small player in their plan for crime. Enter private sector, and the folk around them begin to suffer.
