i can confirm that i still have win 7 64 bit intact after i installed this patch. i can’t make any changes in boot.wim since it deletes my existing windows or any of the files. i have to reinstall the win 7.
i have also installed the boot.wim and installed win 10 in c drive. but i still have a bsod error upon start up. help please.
ok so i patched using the winloader patches, and i have three.wim files extracted into c:. i need to install boot.wim, boot.sdi, windows.wim.
i have successfully made a clean install (slated by reinstalling win7). what is the best way to install this using the bcdedit.exe? can i just double click boot.wim?
that was the strange problem of my friend that i was able to help him solve. there are few things to add here because my friend is quite smart so it was like a walk in the park for him. he did not install the windows update first, he installed the windows update at the same time as an oem new windows installation. so he disabled the windows update in safe mode and install the new windows version. now he can boot into windows normally again without any problems. unfortunately he has several software installed with his windows installation, so he can not go to safe mode to remove the updates because his software wont load. he will have to wait when he gets home until he can do a scan and fix his software. from my experience it is always better to have a clean windows installation and a clean system because once a system is infected with malware and the infection is not cleaned there is no going back. hence it is better to reinstall windows fresh and install your software on that fresh installation.
hey guys, i havent been working on this issue for a while, but im stuck with a problem and need some help. so first of all, i have a dell xps m1530. the problem is that if the computer has been idle for more than a day, then windows will randomly shut down. it will give me the error message (loading windows page) and then it shuts down. i have tried to troubleshoot this and check if any of the memory has gone corrupt. i have also tried to make a system restore to try to fix it. but none of these work. so i need help. can anyone help me? thanks.
to get the driver you need, go to add/remove programs, then to add/remove windows components. then scroll down the list, and click on intel graphics installer. this will install the graphics driver. it worked for me.

i’m using windows 8 and had the same issue. luckily the intel graphics installer for windows 7 worked just fine on windows 8. i went to add/remove programs, then to add/remove windows components, then finally clicked on the intel graphics installer. it installed the same driver as it did on windows 7. i didn’t have to do anything else. it worked. thank you so much.
hi, i tried to use this patch on windows 7 ultimate sp1 64bit and it failed to boot at all. i used the patch from your site and it worked fine, but when the boot process finished and i was in the windows repair console, it gave me the following error: « windows could not complete the repair because the following file is in an unsafe state: c:\windows\system32\sysprep.exe. the system cannot continue with the repair. restart the system and try again. file information: \\?\c:\windows\system32\sysprep.exe error code: 0x0-0x0 » i thought this was my fault because it was a 32bit system and the patch was for 64bit. i then tried it on a 64bit system, and it worked fine, but in the same way. i then tried it on a windows 7 home premium 64bit system with the same result. maybe something is missing?
