try installing quagga. it appears to be the modem, not the phone. version 0.99 is available in the repositories for kubuntu. quagga may be installed in ubuntu 12.04 using the command ‘sudo apt-get install quagga’.

need to tell u something, if u change ur sim and let the device update its firmware and have some problems like call drops and u have to change sim again to update ur phone, if u connect the modem with the sim,r u will not see any network connection at all and if u remove the modem from the sim, then the device runs on usb power by default and automatically the device will make a sim card connection again and u will have to login,etc, i hope u r figuring that out.

i have a huawei e1531 and i need to unlock it. i have registered with the site and downloaded the software,i used two different codes to unlock this modem (nck code:824754408642 and nck code:278878338477), the unlocker process first tries to wrong unlock the modem then after plugging the sim card one wrong number at a time to unlock it,nothing is happening,on the unlocker tool i also tried to check if the number(s) entered to unlock the modem,is the correct one.kindly help me,is there any other software to try.thank you.
